This is the personal website of P. Veloso. It is a mostly static, informational site — a portfolio and CV. It collects no more personal data than it needs to let you get in touch and to keep automated abuse in check. This policy explains what is collected, why, and who it is shared with.

What this site collects

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the email address and message you submit — along with the page you came from — are sent so I can read and reply to your message. Providing this information is entirely your choice — the contact form is the way to reach me.

CV / résumé request

If you request a tailored CV, the name and the email address or phone number you enter, together with the role details (job title, description, and any job-description file you attach), are used to generate the document and to let me follow up with you. This information is used for that request only.

Spam and abuse prevention

Both forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps distinguish real people from automated bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Site preferences

Your light / dark / system theme choice is saved locally in your browser (vialocalStorage) so the site remembers it on your next visit. This stays on your device, is never sent to any server, and is not used to track you. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Server logs

Like almost all websites, the infrastructure serving this site (and the network provider in front of it) may keep standard technical logs — such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Who processes this data

Form submissions are handled by a small first-party backend service I operate (services.systemsnotsilos.com) purely to relay contact messages and generate CVs. Beyond that, this site relies on a few service providers acting as processors:

  • Cloudflare — routes and protects traffic to the site.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — bot and abuse detection on the forms.

I don't sell your personal data, and I don't share it with anyone except as needed to provide the functions described above or where required by law.

How long it's kept

Contact messages and CV requests are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, then deleted. Locally stored preferences remain in your browser until you clear them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data this site holds about you, or to object to its processing. To make a request, or if you have any question about this policy, get in touch via the contact form.

This policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes materially, the "last updated" date above will be revised.
