Pedro Veloso
As a passionate IT professional, I bring a wealth of experience in team leadership, management, and development to the table. My career has taken me on an exciting journey, starting as a programmer and then branching off as an eCommerce Technical Leader before further progressing to managing Google and AWS platforms, where I honed my back-end and front-end development skills. More recently, I have focused on technical leadership, empowering teams to turn business needs into customer-focused solutions.
As an advocate for the wider web community, I have participated in meetups as a guest as well as a speaker in universities for knowledge sharing and learning. Additionally, I have coached, mentored, and provided technical guidance to other engineers, while also contributing to growth in preparation for their future challenges.
Originally from Brazil, I have lived in several countries, including the United States, Canada, and now Australia. My love for different cultures, sunshine, and good music has made me a people person, and my language skills in Portuguese, English, and Spanish make me comfortable working with people from all backgrounds. I am open to relocating anywhere in the world, and if the work is fully remote, I am available to perform my duties at any time and any timezone, as I am accustomed to doing so.
Technology Leader, Systems Thinker, Senior Engineer
A senior technology professional with over 20 years of experience across IT, software engineering, and systems design, including more than a decade of hands-on full stack development. His work sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and business, where he designs and delivers systems that solve real operational problems at scale.
He began his career as a software developer and expanded into roles spanning platform strategy, systems architecture, and delivery across complex environments. Over time, he has led multidisciplinary teams, defined technical direction, and worked closely with stakeholders to translate business priorities into scalable, reliable solutions.
Importantly, he has remained hands-on throughout. He continues to work directly with code, APIs, system design, and integration challenges, allowing him to operate effectively both in leadership roles and as a senior engineer when deep technical involvement is required.
Most recently, he served as Head of Engineering and R&D within a logistics technology ecosystem, leading the delivery of multiple interconnected platforms supporting high-volume operational workflows. His work has consistently focused on improving efficiency, reducing manual effort, and building systems that are both scalable and grounded in real-world use.
He is well suited to roles such as Head of Engineering, Technology Lead, or domain leadership positions, while also bringing strong value in senior engineering roles requiring high-level system design and implementation expertise.
Beyond delivery, he contributes to the broader technology community through university talks, industry meetups, and mentoring engineers at different stages of their careers.
